Data is often called 'the new oil'; the world's most valuable resource. But if data is anything like oil, it might be reasonable to have more dialogues about the problems that data might create in the future, or as Dr. Linnet Taylor from Tilburg University says it: "We don't want to wind up in a climate-change-situation in terms of the way data effects society". That's why she's working on a research project, which long term goal is to establish ways in which we can think and talk about collecting, analyzing and using large amounts of data in an ethical manner. In this video she talks about data justice, group privacy and data ethics.
