Kristel Doreleijers is a postdoctoral researcher at the Language Variation research group of the KNAW Meertens Institute.

Kristel Doreleijers (1993) is a postdoctoral researcher at the Language Variation research group of the KNAW Meertens Institute. In June 2024, she obtained her PhD at Tilburg University. Her doctoral dissertation 'Styling the Local' delves into modern dialect use in the Dutch province of North Brabant. Kristel conducted this research at the department of Culture Studies. Since 2022, she is one of the Faces of Science of the KNAW: a selection of young scholars engaged in science communication.
