Sjaak Kroon is an emeritus professor of Multilingualism in the multicultural society at the Department of Culture Studies and Babylon, Center for the Study of Superdiversity at Tilburg University, The Netherlands. His main field of interest is linguistic and cultural diversity, language policy and education in the context of globalization and superdiversity. He has been involved in a number of research projects dealing with linguistic diversity, language policy and literacy in countries in the Global South such as Eritrea, Suriname and East Timor.

My main interest is in the field of linguistic and cultural diversity, language policy and education in the context of globalization and superdiversity.
